Vancouver Police are investigating a serious motor vehicle collision near Jericho Beach that has claimed the life of a man in his 30s last night.
Officers responded to multiple 911 calls of a man driving erratically westbound along West 4th Avenue on October 10. At around 9 p.m., the driver collided into a tree near NW Marine Drive and West 4th Avenue. The man died on scene after attempts to revive him by Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services and BC Ambulance Service were unsuccessful.
“Speed was definitely a factor in this tragic incident,” says Constable Tania Visintin, VPD. “Our Collision Investigation Unit is investigating to determine if there were any other contributing factors.”
This is Vancouver’s 14th motor vehicle fatality of 2021.
