Vancouver – A tip from the public has helped Vancouver Police identify a woman who died suddenly last spring.
Earlier this month, Vancouver Police released distinctive photos of tattoos belonging to a woman who had been found dead from an apparent overdose on May 25. Investigators had been unable to identify the woman through DNA, missing persons reports, and other investigative methods.
A person who recognized the tattoos contacted VPD, allowing investigators to confirm her identity and notify her next of kin.
