Vancouver Police are investigating a serious collision that sent two people to hospital Monday night, and are asking anyone with information to call police.

A 44-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman were crossing Argyle Drive near Braeburn Street on December 18 at 5 p.m., when they were hit by the driver of a grey Tesla. Both pedestrians were taken hospital. The woman remains in hospital with serious injuries.

“This collision occurred during a busy time of day where there would be a lot pedestrian and vehicle traffic,” says Constable Tania Visintin. “We are asking witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage to get in touch with investigators as quickly as possible.”

The driver remained at the scene. At this stage of the investigation, speed and impairment do not appear to be factors.
