Vancouver– The Vancouver Police Department’s Collision Investigation Unit is seeking witnesses to a serious multi-vehicle collision that happened on the Granville Street Bridge yesterday afternoon.
The collision occurred just after 5:00 p.m. and involved a tow truck, a bus, and two other vehicles.
Six people were taken to hospital. One person sustained serious, life-altering injuries, while the other five suffered minor injuries.
The Granville Street Bridge was closed in both directions for several hours while emergency crews responded and investigators examined the scene. The bridge reopened at approximately 10:30 p.m.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage to come forward. They are specifically seeking video footage that captured the events leading up to the collision.
