One man has died and the Vancouver Police Homicide Unit is investigating after a shooting this morning in Port Moody.
 
Shortly after 10 a.m., citizens called the Port Moody Police to report that a man had been shot at a house in the 900 block of Wallace Wynd in Port Moody.
 
Members of the Port Moody Police arrived at the house where they found a 32 year old Port Moody man suffering from gun shot wounds. The man was rushed to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
 
Members of the VPD Forensic Identification Unit and VPD Homicide investigators, including members of the Port Moody Police who are currently working within the Vancouver Police Homicide Unit, expect to be at the location throughout the day as they process the crime scene and canvass the neighborhood.
 
The victim’s name is not being released at this time.
 
The victim is known to police and early indications are that this was a targeted attack, no suspects have been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
