The VPD are investigating a sexual assault on a 22-year-old woman in a home near 49th Avenue and Knight Street.
Shortly before 4:00 a.m., the woman woke up to find a man standing in her bedroom.
After a brief struggle, the suspect fled the home. Police arrived and conducted a thorough search of the area with a dog, but were unable to find the suspect who is described as white, dressed in dark clothing, 6′ tall, and possibly in his 20s.
Investigators determined the incident was sexually motivated.
