One man has been arrested and two people are in hospital, following an early morning stabbing in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.
The VPD received a report of a disturbance in the area of Princess Avenue near Powell Street just after 5:30 a.m. on February 20th. Officers located a 49-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman suffering from stab wounds. They were both rushed to hospital with serious, but what are believed to be, non-life-threatening injuries.
The male suspect and victims know each other. The 23-year-old suspect was arrested nearby and charges are pending.
It is still early in the investigation and there is no additional information to share at this time.
