A bank customer recently withdrew money from the automated teller at a bank in the 100 block of W. Hastings. He was approached by a man as he was leaving the vestibule, who attempted to sell him sunglasses. While the customer was briefly distracted, the suspect grabbed the money out of his hands and took off. The victim ran after him.
Officers on patrol noticed the two men running. They responded and arrested the suspected thief.
The money was returned to the victim.
