A recent dispute between two women over stolen property escalated from a fist fight, to one of the women allegedly chasing and threatening the other with a meat cleaver.
Two officers dealing with another matter nearby quickly intervened. The suspect allegedly passed the meat cleaver to her boyfriend to hide, but officers were able to arrest them both and recover the knife.
The female suspect could be facing charges of assault with a weapon, fail to comply with a release order, and uttering threats. Her boyfriend may face charges of possession of a dangerous weapon and uttering threats.
