While away from their home last Saturday evening, homeowners received a security alert that their house alarm had been triggered. They called 9-1-1 and began reviewing video from their security cameras.

Police arrived to find the house had been rummaged through and the suspect had fled. The residents described the suspect seen in their video footage to officers, and a man matching the description was located in the area.

Officers seized approximately $25,000 in jewelry from the suspect, which was returned to the homeowners. He was arrested for break-and-enter and taken to jail.

Property damage to the home was about $6,000.
