Vancouver – Vancouver Police are looking for witnesses and dash cam footage as an investigation continues into a serious collision on Tuesday involving a pedestrian and vehicle in Yaletown.

“This collision has a left a 23-year-old woman in hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries,” says Constable Tania Visintin. “VPD’s Collision Investigation Unit is looking for witnesses to come forward to help advance the investigation.”

The victim was walking east through the intersection of Cambie Street and Pacific Boulevard around 8 a.m. March 8, when a blue 1989 Volkswagon Vanagon struck her.

“The driver of the Volkswagon remained on scene,” adds Constable Visintin. “It is suspected impairment by alcohol was the cause of this frightening collision.”

Witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage in the area of Cambie Street and Pacific Boulevard on March 8 between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. are asked to call VPD’s Collision Investigation Unit at 604-717-3012.
