Update: October 11, 2023
Vancouver Police are investigating a homicide in the Downtown Eastside.
Police officers were called to the area of Carrall Street and East Hastings Street around 5:15 a.m. today for a man who had been assaulted and was badly injured. The man was taken to hospital, where he died from his injuries.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
The victim has not been identified.
VPD will have additional officers working in the area throughout the day to collect evidence. Anyone with information is asked to call Vancouver Police Homicide at 604-717-2500.
