Vancouver – Vancouver Police are investigating a December 15 collision that resulted in the death of an 85-year-old pedestrian, and are asking witnesses or people with dash-cam video to come forward.

The collision occurred at about 4:50 p.m. in the intersection of Victoria Drive and East Broadway. As the pedestrian was attempting to cross Victoria Drive on the north side, he was struck by a 2001 Toyota Sienna.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with injuries, which were not initially believed to be life threatening, but he later died in hospital.

Police have identified the driver as an 83-year-old Vancouver woman.

Anyone who saw the collision, or anyone passing through the intersection of Victoria Drive and East Broadway between 4:40 and 5 p.m. on December 15, is asked to call VPD’s Collision Investigation Unit at 604-717-3012.
