Recently, the VPD was made aware of allegations that one of its members was issued an Immediate Roadside Prohibition under the provincial Motor Vehicle Act.
That incident was immediately referred to the Office of the Police Complaint Commissioner (OPCC) by the Vancouver Police Department. The allegations are now being investigated by the Delta Police Department, at the request of VPD Chief Constable Jim Chu and with the approval of the OPCC.
As the matter is being investigated by another agency, it would not be appropriate for the VPD to comment further at this time.
