On August 8th, 2012, Crown Counsel approved charges of assault relating to allegations that involved Transit Police Constables Bruce Shipley and Alfred Wong on February 9th, 2012. The charges came after Transit Police asked the Vancouver Police Department to conduct a criminal investigation.
Investigators with the Vancouver Police Professional Standards Section recently sent a supplemental report to Crown after receiving further information. Additional charges of breach of trust, fabrication of evidence, and two counts of public mischief have now been approved by Crown Counsel for both constables.
As this matter is now before the courts, there is no further information to share.
