Police have now laid charges against a 23-year-old Burnaby man in relation to a stabbing at Granville and West Georgia Street that has left one man dead.

Shortly after 11:00 p.m. on February 9th, a taxi driver at Granville and West Georgia Street got into an argument with two men. A passenger got out of the cab and joined in the dispute. The argument quickly escalated into a fight between the two men and the passenger, which ended with the passenger being stabbed.

When police arrived, they found the victim unconscious on the sidewalk suffering from a life-threatening stab wound. He was rushed to hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Acting on information received from witnesses, police arrested two men who were believed to have been involved in the incident. Both men were released pending further investigation.

Kenneth Bryson Williams has now been charged with one count of second degree murder and has been held in custody pending his next scheduled court appearance on November 28th at 9:30 a.m.

As the case is currently before the courts, there is no more information to share at this time.
