The Vancouver Police High Risk Offenders Unit is asking for the public’s help to locate a sex offender who is unlawfully at large.
Darren Wheatley is a high risk sex offender who missed his curfew last night. He is wanted Canada-wide for breaching his court imposed release conditions.
Wheatley is a two-time Federal offender currently serving a 10-year sentence for two counts of sexual assault, sexual assault causing bodily harm and two counts of overcoming resistance by choking, following three separate attacks on adult women in Ontario.
Wheatley is Aboriginal, 45 years old, 6′ tall, weighs 230 pounds and has a large build. He has short black hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos of a cow, a skull and a feather on his right upper arm and a script design on his left upper arm.
Anyone who sees Darren Wheatley, or knows his whereabouts, is asked to not approach him and call 9-1-1 immediately.
