Vancouver – Vancouver Police are searching for a senior who went missing from a west-side neighbourhood Tuesday afternoon.
Mikihiko Tokuriki, 85, was last seen around 12:30 p.m., when he left a residence near Arbutus Street and West 14th Avenue to go for a walk. Mr. Tokuriki has dementia and is visiting from Japan, so he is not familiar with the area and likely won’t be able to find his way home.
Mr. Tokuriki speaks limited English and is hard of hearing. He is 5’9″ with a slim build and short, white hair. He is clean-shaven and wears eye glasses. When last seen, Mr. Tokuriki was wearing a light yellow or cream-coloured polo shirt, olive green shorts, and sandals.
Anyone who finds Mr. Tokuriki is asked to call 9-1-1 and remain with him until first responders arrive.
