Women in the survival sex trade face significant risks and challenges and violence is an ever-present reality.

This was the reality for Lisa Francis. Tragically, she was murdered and her body discarded in the Fraser River on July 23rd of this year.

Investigators have worked tirelessly to solve her murder and now hope to aid their investigation by erecting a billboard featuring a photograph of Lisa Francis and an appeal for information.

VPD Homicide investigators are hoping that this billboard, combined with the $10,000 reward that was authorized by the Vancouver Police Board, will generate tips and clues that might allow them to establish a timeline of Lisa’s activities and whereabouts leading up to her death and ultimately solve this murder.

Anyone with information is asked to call investigators at 604-717-2500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222 8477.
