Charges have now been laid in connection with the alleged axe attack that happened on July 3rd.
Forty-three year old Engbert Arthur Yonkman of Vancouver has been charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of possession of a dangerous weapon.
Yonkman has a lengthy criminal history for a variety of offences and convictions dating back to 1989. He remains in custody and is next scheduled to appear in court on July 11th.
