Charges have now been laid against the 44 year old Vancouver man arrested after last night’s stabbing and arson in the 2100 block Fir Street.
An employee of the victim, Sami Hashmi Mohamed Draid, has been charged with attempted murder and assault with a weapon. The arson is still under investigation.
The victim remains in hospital in stable condition and Draid remains in custody until his court appearance in Vancouver Provincial Court later today.
