Police are identifying the victim in the homicide on January 23rd as 19 year old Vancouver resident Manraj Akalirai.
Shortly before 4:00 p.m. on January 24th, police arrested another man in the 800 Hornby Street who is believed to have been involved in Akalirai’s death. Homicide investigators are speaking with him and he remains in custody.
All five men arrested shortly after the incident have now been released from custody.
