The Vancouver Police Department has requested that BC’s Independent Investigation Office (IIO) investigate after a Vancouver Police officer was involved in a shooting.
Around 10:30 this morning, police responded to a 9-1-1 call of a woman with a knife at a home in the 1100 block of Lakewood Drive.
When officers arrived, they were allegedly confronted by a woman on the street. The woman was subsequently shot by police. She was taken to hospital by paramedics where she remains in stable condition.
