Vancouver Police are asking for the public’s help in solving a set of suspicious circumstances reported on May 9th, 2013.

At approximately 9:45 p.m., a witness observed a woman walking in the 2900 West 20th Avenue near MacKenzie Street. A woman’s voice was heard saying, “Get off me… Get away,” followed by what sounded like a door slamming shut.  When the witness looked out the window again, the woman was no longer in view and a green van was seen driving westbound down the street.  The woman was not seen getting into the van. Police searched the area, but did not locate the unidentified woman or the van.

The vehicle is described as a dark-green square-shaped mini-van, with two windows on the back and no rear side windows. The witness believed the van was approximately five years old, in good shape, with no noticeable damage, decals or unique features.

The woman walking down the street is described as white, in her early 20s, approximately 5’8″ tall, 130 lbs., with a slim build, and long straight dark hair that went past her shoulders. She was wearing a dark-coloured hoody, blue jeans and “Vans” style running shoes.

Vancouver Police have not received any missing persons calls related to the incident and are asking the public to help identify the woman or the van seen by witnesses.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Vancouver Police at (604) 717-2500 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.
