Vancouver Police are investigating a suspicious death after a woman in her twenties fell from the 13th floor of an apartment building in the 1400 block of Howe Street.
Shortly after 5:00 this evening, rescue crews and police responded to the building after receiving reports that witnesses heard screams and saw a woman fall to the ground.
Paramedics arriving at the scene found the woman in the street and determined that she had died.
The Vancouver Police Major Crime Section and Forensic Identification Unit will be at the location for the remainder of the evening and traffic flow on Howe Street will be disrupted for the next couple of hours as police work to determine what happened to the woman.
It is early in the investigation and further details will be released as they become available.
