Vancouver Police are investigating a fatal collision after a female pedestrian was struck by a semi truck at West Hastings and Richards Street around 8:00 this morning.
The woman was rushed to hospital where she died as a result of her injuries.
The Vancouver Police Collision Investigation Unit will be at the scene throughout the day and the intersection at West Hastings and Richards Street remains closed.

This is Vancouver’s first pedestrian fatality in 2014.
