Marcel Joseph Parent has been arrested by RCMP on a Canada-wide warrant for being unlawfully at large.
The 37-year-old federal offender who served time for sexual assault with a weapon, armed robbery, forcible confinement, uttering threats to cause death or harm, and possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose was the subject of a public release by the VPD earlier today. He was picked up by police near Parksville.
