Shortly after 3 p.m., police responded to a collision involving a scooter and a car on East Cordova Street at Hawks Avenue.
The scooter operator was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the car remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
The cause of the collision has yet to be determined.
