From June 2nd to 5th, law enforcement runners will take to the streets with a message of respect and inclusion as they lace up in communities around the Lower Mainland for the 2015 BC Law Enforcement Torch Run in support of Special Olympics BC.

The Vancouver leg of the run, comprised of law enforcement officers and Special Olympic athletes who help raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics, takes place on June 3rd.

The community is invited down to run and/or cheer on the Law Enforcement Torch Run participants.

Law Enforcement Torch Run in Vancouver:

Date: Today, Wednesday, June 3rd
Starting Time: 10:30 a.m.
Start Location: 1600 West Georgia Street
Route: south on Cardero, left on Robson, left on Burrard,
right on Georgia, stop at Granville and Georgia

Additional runners join in for the Granville leg from Granville and Georgia to Granville and Drake.

Runners continue south over the Granville bridge with a stop at City Hall before completing the run at VPD HQ at about 12:15 p.m.
