Two men are in custody following the robbery of a Good Samaritan, after he stopped to assist them with their broken down vehicle.

Shortly before 6 p.m., two men appeared to be stranded on the side of the road on East 62nd Avenue at Inverness Street. A Good Samaritan stopped to assist the stranded men. One of the men, armed with a knife, robbed him. He was not injured.

The two men were last seen fleeing in their vehicle.

A short time later, the vehicle was spotted by Air One, heading towards Surrey. The Surrey RCMP were called in and the two occupants were taken into custody in the 10,000 block of University Drive.

Two men in their twenties are facing robbery charges.
