The motorcyclist who struck a VPD officer trying to flag him over for speeding on Knight Street received only minor injuries and has been released from hospital.
Police have also released the 28-year-old man pending further investigation. How the traffic officer was struck remains the focus of the investigation and police still have to speak with additional witnesses and the injured officer as well as review video obtained from the scene.
The injured police officer remains in hospital.
