Around 1 a.m. today, police were called to Sexsmith Elementary School, 7410 Columbia Street, after receiving reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they determined that a group of men outside the school had been confronted by two other men who were unknown to them. One of the two men produced a gun and shot at the group. All of the men involved ran away.
A short time later, a 21-year-old man showed up at a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Investigators and the Vancouver Police Forensic Identification Unit were at the school throughout the day.
No arrests have been made.
