Vancouver Police have arrested a 34-year-old Vancouver man in relation to an assault in an apartment building in the West End on Saturday morning. The suspect will remain in custody while the investigation continues.
Just before 3 a.m. on November 17, a woman reported that a man followed her into an apartment building on Bute near Pendrell and then attacked her.
Tips from the public were crucial in helping to identify the suspect. The suspect’s identity cannot be released until charges have been approved by Crown counsel. Investigators are anticipating charges for sexual assault and robbery.
