Vancouver – Vancouver Police are investigating the death of a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle last night in South Vancouver.

The victim, a 78-year-old woman, was walking along East 41st Avenue near the east lane of Culloden Street just after 5 p.m. on July 12 when she was struck by the driver of a black Range Rover. Despite life-saving attempts by first responders, the woman died at the scene.

The driver of the Range Rover remained on scene.

Officers from VPD’s Collision Investigation Unit have taken over the investigation. Witnesses, or anyone with dash-cam video, are asked to call 604-717-3012.
