Vancouver – The Vancouver Police Department’s investigation into the April 26 mass casualty incident at the Filipino Lapu Lapu Festival has resulted in additional second-degree murder charges against the alleged driver of the vehicle used in the incident.

Three additional charges were laid against Kai-Ji Lo this morning, bringing the total number of counts to 11.

Lo, 30, was initially charged with eight counts of second degree murder on April 27. The additional charges were approved by the BC Prosecution Service following a review of evidence submitted by Vancouver Police Homicide investigators.
