Vancouver – The lone survivor of a triple stabbing in East Vancouver on September 5 has now died from her injuries.
Jinfeng Guan, 50, died Thursday in hospital, where she had been receiving medical treatment for injuries sustained in the triple-stabbing.
Vancouver Police have notified Crown counsel of Guan’s death and are in the process of submitting evidence for consideration of additional charges.
Viet Quy John Ly, 54, is currently charged with two counts of second-degree murder in the deaths of Jianghui Deng, 55, and Chunxiu Yin, 54, who were discovered inside a residential building near Joyce Street and Vanness Avenue on September 5. Guan was found injured in a residential building approximately two blocks away from the crime scene.
Ly remains in custody.
