Vancouver – Vancouver Police are warning the public that high-risk sex offender Shaun Deacon was released from custody today and will be living in Vancouver.

Deacon, 60, will serve a sentence on a Long Term Supervision Order for possession of and accessing child pornography.

Vancouver Police believe compelling reasons exist to warn the public that Deacon poses a high risk to children – predominantly boys – in the community.

Deacon is approximately six feet tall and 255 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Deacon is bound by the following court-imposed conditions:

  • Not to be found near places where children under 16 are likely to be;
  • Report all intimate and non-sexual relationships;
  • Not to be in the presence of, or communicate directly or indirectly with, any male or female children under age 16;
  • Not to use or possess any technological device capable of accessing the internet;
  • Not to possess images of children under the age of 16 in any form;
  • Not to have direct or indirect contact with individuals who have a history of sexual offending against children under the age of 18 years old.

Anyone who witnesses Shaun Deacon in violation of any of these conditions is asked to call 9-1-1.
