Vancouver Police are investigating the sudden death of a teenaged girl, who had previously been reported missing.

Police were called to a home near East Pender and Renfrew Street shortly after 9 a.m. this morning, where officers found the 16-year-old deceased. The girl had been reported missing Monday night, and her disappearance was the subject of an investigation by North Vancouver RCMP.

The cause of her death is currently unknown.

Officers from VPD’s Major Crime Section and Forensic Identification Unit are investigating to determine if the cause of her death was the result of a crime.
