Vancouver – A suspect has been charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm, after Vancouver Police arrested him for allegedly punching a woman in the head multiple times over a driving dispute in the Marpole area, Wednesday afternoon.
Vancouver Police responded at 4:44 p.m. on January 7 to a 9-1-1 call regarding an alleged assault. The suspect allegedly came out of his vehicle and opened the woman’s door, then punched her in the head multiple times. The suspect then drove away.
The 60-year-old victim was seriously injured and received treatment in hospital.
A witness was able to assist the victim and call 9-1-1 for help, then provided information that allowed police to locate the suspect, who was taken into custody in Richmond Wednesday evening.
Goran Presic, 52, of Richmond, has been charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm.
Presic has been released on bail by the courts.
