Vancouver – Charges have been approved against a man following an alleged assault involving a family with young children downtown last month.
The incident occurred on December 21, 2025, as a family was crossing at Burrard and Georgia with two children in a stroller. A man not known to the family is alleged to have shoved the stroller as they crossed the intersection.
When the father confronted the man, he reportedly threw his drink onto the ground, splashing the children in the stroller, and then punched the father in the face. The suspect was arrested by police and transported to jail.
Jaxon Andre Carter, 24, is charged with one count of assault. He has been released from custody with conditions.
