Vancouver – A high-risk sex offender, who was the subject of a VPD public warning last fall, is now facing new charges.
Shaun Deacon was arrested on December 25, 2025, for a Canada-wide warrant for breaching his release conditions. VPD’s High Risk Offender Unit launched an investigation into the breach of conditions. The investigation resulted in the B.C. Prosecution Service approving charges on March 18 for breach of a long-term supervision order, breach of a 161 order of prohibition, and mischief under $5000.
Deacon remains in custody.
