A youth is in custody following two attacks on women in the Oak Street area on Sunday night.

The first incident happened around 10:15 p.m. when a woman walking her dog in the area of Alder Street and West 10th Avenue was approached from behind and grabbed by a stranger. The woman screamed and the attacker ran off.

Around 10:30 p.m., a second woman walking her dog in the area of Birch Street and West 13th Avenue was grabbed from behind and groped by a stranger. She also screamed and he ran off.

A 16-year-old boy believed to be responsible for the two attacks was arrested by the police a short distance away.
