Two cyclists are in hospital this morning after they collided with each other last night.

At around 9:45 p.m. yesterday evening, a man and a woman were riding their bikes together north on Yukon Street when the woman stopped for the traffic light at West 7th Avenue. Unfortunately, the man was not able to stop in time and he crashed into the woman before landing on the ground. Neither rider was wearing a helmet.

A BC Ambulance Supervisor was near the intersection at the time of the collision and immediately provided medical assistance. Both cyclists were transported to hospital. The 64-year-old Vancouver woman was treated for minor injuries, and the 62-year-old Vancouver man is in critical condition.

No vehicles were involved in this collision.
